Frequently Asked Questions
1. Before you register for the service, ask yourself the following questions:
-
Am I or anyone in my household showing any signs of illness?
-
Have I or anyone in my household had a fever or other flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days?
-
Have I or anyone in my household been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
-
Have I or anyone in my household travelled outside Canada in the past 14 days?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, we ask that you please join the service online through our u-tube streaming service. While we are trying to provide a safe environment to return to in-person services, if you are choosing to attend in-person, you do so at your own risk.
2. Are masks required?
Yes, There is a bylaw in Waterloo Region that required all attendees to wear a mask the entire time that you are in a church building. Children under the age of 5, as well as those with a medical condition making them unable to safely wear a mask, are exempt for this requirement.
3. If there are no seats left, can I just show up? Unfortunately, no. We are legally required to limit our attendance to no more than 30% of our sanctuary capacity at this time. If there is no space left at a particular service, you are encouraged to sign up for the next one. If you arrive and there are seats available which are not signed for, you will be able to attend after all registered attendees are seated.??
4. What is expected of those attending? We ask that each individual who chooses to attend in-person worship at this time and adheres to any and all precautions that have been put in place by the government and the Mount Zion Church Council.
